Kitapta görseller ön plana çıkarılmış ve görsel tasarım ise Taner SARIÇAM, Rabia DALGIÇ EKİCİ tarafından yapılmış.

‘Yarn Bombing’, is it an art?
1. Grafiti artists have added a new tool their traditional aerosol cans – knitting needles and a bali of wool.
2. Knitted bus: Mrs Sayeg said: ‘Luckily I had a small team to help me with the bus but it took a week to do’
3. First hundreds of knitters around the world had begun wrapping their huge woolly creations around public property like trees, street signs and lamp posts. They then took photos of their colourful “art” and posted them on internet sites for fellow knitters to view and comment on.
4. The craze was thought to have been dreamed up by clothes shop owner Magda Sayeg, 35, from Texas in the US. She set up the vvebsite Knitta Please, vvhich started off
as a group for frustrated knitters who hadn’t known what to do with their half-finished jumpers and scarves and so started putting them over door handles.
5. İt just started while she was sitting in her shop one afternoon and decided to do something to brighten up the place. She looked at the door handle and decided to knit a small cosy for it. It drew a lot of attention after that she put it on the door with people asking what it was all about. She called a friend later that night and explained an idea to her about using old knitting to grafiti things in the street. Her friend had started knitting a baby blanket he gave it to her so she could wrap it around a ‘stop’ sign just outside her window. There was such a reaction to it. People were stopping their cars, scratching their heads and taking photographs. That was when she realised that she wanted to do more so set up the group.”
6. Since forming the club, Mrs Sayeg has worked her way through thousands of balls of wool all over the world. She has covered dozens of trees, signs and car ariels in knitted cosies but her biggest venture was the bus. Mrs Sayeg added: “Luckily I had a small team to help me with the bus but it took a week to do. We used large chunky needles and a dozens of balls of yarn to fully cover the whole vehicle.”It looked absolutely amazing afterwards – so bright and colourful. And she added: “Using knitting as a form of graffiti is a crazy phenomenon and there is no other hobby like it.”
7. It became so popular that Joann Matvichuk of Lethbridge, Alberta invented International Yarn bombing Day, which was first observed on June 11,2011.
