Kitabı incelediğimizde ise Cansu ÇAĞLAR, Esra Emel, HOYRAZ Havva ARSLAN tarafından 121 sayfa olarak kaleme alındığını görüyoruz. Kitapta görseller ön plana çıkarılmış ve görsel tasarım ise Beyza DİRİK tarafından yapılmış.

I remember the hardest Monday of my life,
After moving to a new city to live in,
Found myself in a new school to survive.
With friends in memories, stili alive.
I stood alone in a strange new classroom.
As anxious as the birds in cages.
Waited and stood there shivering for ages.
Waiting for the teacher’s sign to introduce myself Trying to hide my fear by looking directly at the bookshelf.
Somehow she didn’t ask questions to know me,
And called one of the students to the board instead.
Then I noticed her, a girl of great sympathy,
Came and stood next to me.
The teacher hugged both of us kindly, and asked “Do you remember standing here last year Emily?”
“Remember how you felt alone here with us,
“I want you to welcome your friend; Jane Davies,
Tour the school together, show her the new environment.
Have a glass of hot chocolate with some cookies,
Then go to the courts and watch the tennis tournament.
Jane will love it, do you know that she plays tennis?”
She already knew me, I thought, but how could it be?
Such a relief that I felt myself not that stranger,
Went out with Emily and walked around the school,
Talking about the süper hero who saved a girl in danger.
So I learned that there was a welcoming team working together,
A group of school teachers, administrators and parents.
To create a sense of belonging in the new environment,
By learning about the new students’ interests and talents.
Don’t çare how, but I know they saved me from being an outsider.
