• Theatre: İn 1600’s there were ‘open-air’ constructions and also there were touring acting companies who used to go to the inns to get their audiences. These companies did not have a building in which to perform their plays, they used to tour their regions and play whereever they could rent space. The audience would gather by coming out onto balcony of their rooms or standing around the stage spontaneously. Yet lower class people and wealthy people couldn’t watch the play at the same place. For the lower class people, they used to stand on the right in front of the stage. For more wealthier people , they used to buy ‘gallery seats’ or used to sit on the stage. And also, the Queen would come to the Globe theatre to watch Shakespeare’s works.

The parts of female characters were played by young boys who were aged between 13 and 19 years of age. They were chosen because their voices were high and muscles hadn’t developed.
• The globe theatre’s flags: İn order to communicate with the various audiences, flags were used to lef everyone know the specific genre of the show for the day. Red meant history, black meant tragedy and white meant comedy.
