The Wilson family has owned their bakery since 1955. Now, Mr Wilson is describing how bread gets to our tables.
HOW DOES BREAD GET TO YOUR TABLE?
Making bread starts with the wheat crops. First, wheat seeds are planted in farms by farmers. The wheat grows green like grass, next it turns golden which means it is ready to be harvested. Second, the harvesters cut the wheat and the wheat stalks are shaken. Then, they collect the grains. Third, when ali the grains are collected, the farmers give the grains to flourmills. The flourmills have big machines which grind the grains to make flour. When the flour is made, it is packaged and sent to bakeries. Then, the bakers mix the flour with water and yeast which turns to dough. Önce the dough is kneaded they are put into trays. The yeast will make the bread rise and get into shape.
