Dinleme Metni: Objective:To develop listening skills and give students further practice with asking & answering questions about what people are doing and weather conditions.
• Hold up your book and point to the pictures. Students talk about what they can see in the pictures.
• Say: Listen and number. Stop after the first one. Do it as an example together with the students.
• Say: Now, it’s your turn. Pause after each sentence to give the students enough time to think and write the numbers. Play the CD again. Students check their answers or bnd the ones that they miss.
• Students check the answers in pairs.

Objective: To have further practice with asking & answering questions about what people are doing.
• Hold up your book and point to the chart.
Point to the pictures and ask the students what acbons they can see.
• Focus on the pronunciabon of the new names in the chart. Say the names and students repeat after you.
• Give the instrucbons. Explain the acbvity. Do the first one as an example.
• Students listen and bek the correct picture.
• Play the CD twice. Students check their answers or bnd the ones that they miss in the second listening.
• Checkasawholeclass.
Monitor the elass and help if necessary.
• Ask quesbons about the picture to reinforce the language of the unit: e.g. How is the weather in Paris? / What is Mary doing in Antalya?
• Check as a whole elass.
• Ask quesbons to get the correct answers: e.g. What is Sam doing? / What is Jenny doing?
Listening:
1. Patrick is in Paris. It’s warm in Paris. What is he doing there? He’s playing football in the park.
2. Mary is in Antalya. It’s hot and sunny in Antalya. What is Mary doing there? She’s swimming in the sea.
